You subscribe one month at a time. At the end of each month it simply rolls into the next, and it keeps going until you tell us you’re finished — then we come and collect the car. No fixed end date and no long contract — you decide how long it runs. One month if that’s all you need; several if it turns out you need more.
A rolling month fits whenever your need is real but the timeline’s open:
A rolling month is a tidy way to put a new starter or a bit of temporary cover on the road without committing the business to anything — one clean monthly cost, cancel it the moment the need passes. The VAT and tax treatment on a car is different from a van, so it’s worth a quick word with your accountant, but as a short, flexible business expense it’s hard to beat.
A month is just the starting point. Because it rolls, you’re never boxed in: hold the car month to month for as long as it earns its place, and if you decide you want it for the longer haul, you can move onto a three, six or twelve month term — often at a better monthly rate — whenever it suits you. You stay in control of how long, and you’re always free to hand it back. Start short, keep every option open.
Everything but insurance and fuel is wrapped into the monthly price: servicing and maintenance, road tax, breakdown cover, the manufacturer warranty, and free delivery and collection. Delivery is free across mainland Britain, excluding the Highlands. Because it rolls monthly, there’s nothing to unwind if your plans change — you simply stop when you’re ready. The two things you add are insurance and whatever goes in the tank.
You arrange the insurance, which keeps your cost honest. A policy built to cover anyone would come in higher than one built around you, so you take out cover for as long as you keep the car and cancel it when it goes back. We’ll tell you exactly what you need before we drop the car off.
One job stays with you beyond insurance and fuel: telling us when a service is due. The car counts down to it on the dashboard — ring us when it starts and we’ll book it at an approved service centre and pay for it. On a rolling month you may never see one, but check it anyway.
We deliver free across the UK and collect for free at the end, and it’s usually about 10 to 14 days from order to your door. Worth knowing up front: a rolling month suits a planned short gap — a move, a new posting, a car you know will be off the road a while — more than a same-day emergency. If you need something on the drive today, a daily rental will cover the first few days; for a month or more, this is the better-value way to do it.
Each car carries its monthly price ex-VAT, the number most of our customers budget to — sort by price and you’ll find the cheapest one month lease for the car you actually want.
Getting started takes your first month’s rental up front, a one-off £195 documentation fee plus VAT, and a refundable deposit that’s returned once the car comes back in good order. After that you’re billed month by month, for as long as you keep the car — and not a month more.
You get the choice of either 1,000 or 2,000 miles for the month. Go over and it’s 65p a mile plus VAT, charged only on the extra — and you’ll see the rate before you order, never after. Know you’ll cover big distances? Tell us and we’ll look at your options.
Cars or vans both roll by the month — from a small hatchback to a work van. Handy when you need something specific for a few weeks, or a stand-in that could stay a while, without committing beyond the month you’re in.
Can you lease a car for just 1 month?
Yes — one month is the shortest and most flexible term we do, and it rolls month to month. Keep the car for a single month, extend it for as long as you like, and hand it back whenever you’re ready.
What’s the shortest car lease term available?
One month, rolling month to month — there’s nothing shorter with us. For a need of just a few days, a daily rental is the right tool; from a month upwards, a rolling subscription is the better value.
Is a 1 month car lease a rolling contract?
It is. It renews a month at a time, and when you’d like to stop, just let us know and we’ll arrange to collect the car. There’s no fixed end date to work around.
How quickly can I get a 1 month lease car?
Usually 10 to 14 days from order to your door. It isn’t a same-day service, so a rolling month suits a planned short gap better than a today emergency.
Do I arrange my own insurance on a 1 month car lease?
Yes, on purpose. Cover priced for everyone would cost you more than cover priced for you. Arrange your own while you’ve got the car and cancel it when it’s back — you only pay for your own risk. We’ll tell you what’s needed first.
What do I pay to start a 1 month car lease?
Your first month’s rental, a one-off £195 documentation fee plus VAT, and a refundable deposit that comes back once the car’s returned in good order. After that, it’s simply month by month.
Can I move from a 1 month car lease to a longer term?
Absolutely — lots of people do. Start with a rolling month, then switch to a three, six or twelve month offer once you know you want a car for a while, and at a better monthly rate. Starting short keeps every option open.
Will a 1 month car lease need a service?
Almost never — a month rarely touches a service interval, and the car arrives freshly prepared. If you roll the month on far enough to reach one, the dashboard will start counting down in days or miles. Ring us when it does and we’ll book it at an approved service centre and pay for it. You don’t choose a garage and you never see a bill.
Whether you require a car or van for one or twelve months, Drive Subscribe provide an alternative to traditional car ownership, offering you the convenience to access a vehicle without the long-term commitment.
